Trust Issues

I'll be honest. I have trust issues sometimes. Not really with my family or friends, but sadly with Someone who is quite incapable of disappointing me. He has yet to do anything to warrant my distrust, yet somehow I am still wary of giving Him my complete faith.

If you are honest, maybe you'd admit to having the same struggle. It's that fierce self-reliant streak that many of us cling to. We just want to take matters into our own hands rather than trusting them in the most capable Hands of all.

But Psalm 37:5 tells us, "Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act."

Each day (and all the moments within it) have to be committed to the Lord. Falling to our knees and declaring our trust in God earns us the promise that "He will act." His actions might not always be in line with what we want, hope, or desire, but we can rest assured that His plan is always best.

Have you committed your way to the Lord today?
