2010 February 05 I always heard growing up in church that God answers prayers with yes, no, or maybe later. But I have been in seasons of my life where I struggled because I felt like God wasn't answering at all...it was like He seemed silent. I wrestled with whether or not God was even hearing my prayers, and then I would struggle to even make myself pray - thinking what is the point if nothing is changing. This is the way it was for me on and off for years. Then I realized something. Prayer is not about telling God what is going on and what I want/need. It is not really about answers. Prayer is about love and devotion to the God who created everything. Prayer is a reflection of my trust in my Savior. Prayer changes me. It comforts me, not because of the answer but because of who God is. I challenge you to think about prayer not in terms of results or answers but in terms of love and communication with God. This is what drives me to pray and talk to God, even when I don't feel like it or even when my situation isn't changing. Don't give up on prayer because God promises that He has NEVER left us. He knows you and loves you, and is changing you through it. Making It Personal:
